Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog! This blog was originally started in March 2008 under the title My Husband's Watching TV before I was even married.
My sweet little family
This is my hubby, Matt. AR and I all him Grizzly Daddy because he's definitely an outdoorsman. He likes to fish, hunt, paintball...basically anything he can do outside. He works at a nursery, for trees not babies, that he's been at since he was 16. He works hard, he plays hard and he has a strong Lutheran upbringing. He'll do anything in the world for his friends and family.
Here we are in a tree stand during hunting season. Although, I've never shot a deer, I did get a 100% on my hunter's ed test! Although we may not always have the exact same interest, we always try to support each other the best we can.
We were set up by friends in December 2006. Matt apparently didn't know about the three day rule and I had to call him after a week. Good thing I did because exactly one year after our first date, we got engaged!
We had a fairytale wedding at Twin Oaks Winery. It was perfect weather with all of our friends and family. We, seriously, couldn't have asked for a better day. I rode into the ceremony on a horse drawn carriage and then we rode off in it after the wedding. During the reception, all the kids took rides in it too.
We both clean up nicely!
My dress had a pop of color which I LOVED!
One of the special moments alone we had on our wedding day
After our wedding, we honeymooned in Jamaica at Couples Negril. Perfect start to our marriage. Oh and did I mention that he surprised me? I knew we were going somewhere tropical but I didn't know the location until we got to the airport.
The hubs with our furbabies: Emma, the brown mix princess pup & Shadow, the black buffalo aka black lab
After TTC on our own, one failed IVF, we finally got pregnant through FET in August 2011.
Our sweet daughter, AR, was born on May 18 at 10:20pm. It was then that the blog changed to My Husband's Watching TV While I'm Watching the Baby. I think this picture pretty much sums up how we both felt!
This is my girl, AR, who we were convinced during my entire pregnancy was a boy! She's amazing and has made my world whole. She's a lot of fun and has made me take a new perspective on life. She loves to give her momma kisses and a run for her money. She can be a silly goose sometimes but she's my silly goose and that's all that matters.
We're just your every day people learning to be parents and trying to raise a sweet, respectful little girl while living life in between. We're not perfect; we don't have the perfect marriage, we aren't perfect parents, but we're doing the best we can. We work together and together, we are the G-Fam.

The G-Fam is now a bit different. In August 2015, Matt and I decided to get divorced. It wasn't easy, it wasn't fun, but it was definitely for the best. It was a long nine-month process but on May 25, 2016, our divorce was final. As much as life is better without us being married for a variety of reasons, it breaks my heart for my sweet AR, but as a parent, I have to be the best mom I can be which includes being happy and setting good examples for her. If we had stuck it out for her, what are we truly teaching her? Both Matt and I are happier apart which is good for her in the long run.
We also put Emma to sleep in July. It wasn't an easy decision and it truly broke my heart to lose my best friend, the only one that had experienced my entire adulthood with me. She was an amazing dog and we were so blessed to have her in our life.
So, today, the G-Fam consists of me, my sweet baby girl, and our black buffalo, Shadow!

I didn't delete everything above because it still happened, it's still a part of my journey of where I am today, and I can't hit delete in real life.
