Dieting equals...

...me cooking more! What? That doesn't make sense, does it? Well, actually it does. Since I'm dieting, I'm cooking more for Matt...I guess in a sense, it makes me feel like I'm still getting to eat? So here are what's on the upcoming menu at the Holyfield house. Tonight is meatloaf!!!

This weekend, Matt and I are going to pick apples and make applesauce so I'm going to get some extra apples to attempt to make an apple pie. Then on Tuesday, I'm off work!!! So I'm going to attempt to make lasagna for dinner!

Matt and I are also deep cleaning the entire house this weekend for two reasons. One-we have people coming over for the wedding. Two-we don't want to come home from the honeymoon to a dirty house so we're going to do one good deep clean.
In the meantime, here are some pics.

This one is of the dogs chillin' on the couch waiting for Matt to get home:

This one is of my meatloaf, it's boiling and smells yummy but it is totally not cooked in the middle...yet:

What a weekend...

...it was busy! We left town Friday afternoon heading to Cape. Friday night, we went to the SEMO District Fair and saw Craig Morgan. It was an awesome concert! We could actually see him from our seats, he was funny and interacted with the crowd but he did make some really funny faces!

Then on Saturday, I had a shower at my friend Laura's house. Thank you thank you thank you to Laura for doing that! The food was delicious and we had a great time! Then my friend, Ashley, had a baby on Friday so I had to go see her at the hospital. Then I had to go get Matt's "prize" at Target and that was interesting to say the least. Then I went back to my mom's where Matt got to have a shower or to sound more manly a "Get to Know Matthew Party." Here are just a couple of pics from the weekend:
Matt and his sweet ride AKA Prize for how well he knew me~ask him what color my eyes are!
Ashley, Garet Michael and me

We are 25 days away from the big wedding! I am so ready for it to be here!!!

Soggie Doggie...

...is what Emma was on Saturday! It was the Third Annual Pool Paws at the pool in O'Fallon. Stevie always does a great job with it and Emma always gets a little better each year (since she is a scaredy cat~dog). This year it was a little too chilly and the first year that Matt could go so he got the honors of getting in the water.

Here she is swimming with Matt and looking back saying, "Lyss, aren't you coming?"

In this picture, she's just chillin' (I think she looks so pretty and happy in this one!).

Here Matt is helping her swimming. She did not like this pool because she couldn't touch but Matt took good care of her!

So all in all, my soggie doggie and my soggie hubby had a great time and can't wait until next year!

My Husband...

...REALLY is watching TV!!! Today in the STL, it was a yucky, rainy day so I came home from work and made chili!!! It was delicious and we have lots of leftovers. Usually, Matt is the one that cooks in our relationship but I've been the chef this week and I think I've done a pretty good job if I do say so myself. Tilapia on Tuesday night, turkey ham on Wednesday night and chili tonight! The best part was dessert (which I didn't eat because I'm still trying to fit in my wedding dress)...

I bought some bananas last week and, of course, we couldn't eat them fast enough (that drives me crazy about bananas-they brown so fast) so I made three loaves of banana bread with mini chocolate chips and almonds!!! OMG!!! The house smells so yummy!!! Once Matt's show is over, we're taking a loaf over to his parents then going to buy a gift for our friends' 4-year old son whose birthday party is this Sunday~I'm excited to go to the party because he is such a cutie!!!

Happy almost weekend!
