...I have a sad, sad story about FFOTD (Fritz's Flavor Of The Day). I went to class last night and gave a presentation. I got 35/35 and my shirt was even on backwards (that’s a whole other story). So I called Matt on my way home and told him about my presentation and how yellow cake batter was the FFOTD and it would be nice if he wanted to reward me with yellow cake batter because, after all, it only comes along once a month! (He was buy Fritz’s, it wasn’t like he was going out of his way-I don’t want you to think I’m high-maintenance).
I get home and a few minutes later Matt gets there. He’s like you’re already going to be mad at me….they were OUT OF YELLOW CAKE BATTER!!!! So instead of getting what I’d asked for with vanilla…he gets a turtle! Well, one thing you may not know about me is that I do not like hot fudge. It tastes like melted plastic chocolate…I want the real liquidy chocolate sauce. So needless to say, I didn’t have Fritz’s and I missed yellow cake batter…how sad but I did get 35/35!

Spring weather...
...finally! It's about time! Matt and I were busy (mainly him, I was just running around being his gopher) this Sunday when the spring weather finally arrived. Matt is working hard on the yard-after all, it is his profession.
We got my mom and her husband's old mower and after about an hour, we finally got it working! I wanted to mow (it was my first time...EVER) and, needless to say, I was fired after I made a giant figure eight in the yard and ruined the rows.
Matt had been working on this flower bed/flag pole thing last week and we finished it yesterday. He made the wall around it and we poured concrete for the flagpole. We now just need some dirt and flowers!
On another note, our dogs found a rabbit nest in the backyard. Here is a picture of four of them...may their brother RIP...Shadow was the murderer and Emma the accomplice.
Happy Spring!!!

Chore list...
...is the reason that I hate ice cube trays! I'm having a really tough time right now. My dad got re-married last June and over a year, his house finally sold. This should be good news but I'm really struggling with it for two reasons.
This was my chore list from middle school until I left the house! I can't believe he didn't throw it away! Good news...when I have kids, I don't have to rewrite a chore list for them!
1. I lived there since I was 5 years old and it was where I was raised by my dad.
2. He's sending all my crap to my house including all those things parents save like artwork, homework, gifts I made. I feel like I'm in a Friends episode where they can't find any of Monica's stuff but I have everything! I don't want the artwork but I don't want him to throw it away either!
Anyways, so as I'm going through the boxes and boxes of stuff he's sent my way, here is one thing that I found:

Trivia Night...
...was awesome! Our team, the Nuthouse, didn't do so great although some of us did pull some amazing answers out of no where...Emily Dickinson! The greatest quote of the night was from Luke, "I'm a doctor, I love this s$*t!" Chad got pretty upset when he found out that Kirby Puckett was dead, I don't think he got over it all night.
They also had a silent auction in which I won a $50 gift card to Edible Arrangements for only $25. I also bid an tandem skydiving. Almost the whole night, I was the high bidder. I was starting to get nervous towards the end of the night, not because of what I bid, but because if I won then I would have to actual skydive! It's one of those things that I've always wanted to do but this was like real committment. Luckily, someone else bid higher than me so I'm still skydive free. Not to mention as soon as I bid on it and sat back down at the table, Kristal informed me that I was going to die if I went skydiving.
The end of the night, one of the judges stopped me and said, "Boy, your table had a good time!" We most definately did and I'll end on this note...watch out, team 80085 will be back next year!!!

If it's not one thing...
...then it's always another! I swear I am having the worst week ever. I feel like I should create my own VH1 Worst Week Ever and I'd be the store. I'll spare you all the details of what it making it so bad but to sum it up, I started this blog because of my laptop...well, the laptop's here and it works but the wireless Internet doesn't so my brand new laptop, that someone set a bowl and bottle of water on but we won't mention any names, is sitting in the living room waiting for the Internet to make it come alive. I really hope things start to turn around...here's to Monday!
Updated later on Sunday:
I got the wireless working and now I'm full stream on the new laptop! YAH!!!

Nice weather...
...we finally have it and I'm stuck inside at school this morning and working all afternoon! Matt and I were going to head out to his farm tomorrow but he's busy working at my old boss' house so no farm for us...boo! We like to go to the farm and walk the dogs through the woods or go fishing. In the fall, we like to look for deer tracks. I'm taking hunter's ed this July so hopefully I'll be able to hunt in the fall but I have a feeling that my attention span won't be long enough. Here is a picture of us fishing out at the farm last summer...FYI, we were in the middle of the pond and I was yelling at Emma to see if she'd swim out to us.
I love this picture of Matt...so cute and smiling!

At the end of every rainbow...
...is a pot of gold! Matthew and I saw a rainbow after the major rain here yesterday but we didn't find any gold.
Here's also a view from my backyard...kinda reminded me of the yellow brick road.
