Liebster Award!!!

A big thank you to Meg at Meg-In-Training for presenting me with the Liebster Award.The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. What exactly is a Liebster?   Liebster is German and means favorite or beloved! The Liebster is a great way to share with the community and get to know other bloggers!Here are the rules:

My questions from Meg:
1. Why do you blog? Honestly, I started my blog because Kristal did way back in the day. Since then I've used it to document marriage, running, infertility, you name it, and I've probably covered it (minus politics but stay tuned for a borderline post on that). Through blogging, I've met awesome peeps and gotten lots of free stuff so there's no way I'd give it up!

2. If you were stranded on a desert island and could have one thing, anything… what would it be? A computer with Wi-Fi so I could stay connected, write, post pics, etc...

3. What’s your favorite food? Mexican-yum!

4. Dream Vacation? The beach!

5. Your proudest moment? Pre-baby=running a marathon Post-baby=every time AR does something new. I tell her all the time how proud I am of her, I never want her to doubt that.

6. If you could have any career/job you wanted, what would it be and why? A mix between a stay-at-home mom and what I do now. I don't think I could be a full-time at home mom and I do enjoy my job so if I could do both, it would be the best of both worlds.
7. Cats or Dogs? Seriously? Duh...dogs!

8. What do your family and friends think of your blog? Although they tease me, I think they enjoy it because they get to see AR pics and know what's going on in our world.

10. Sports: Love ‘em or hate ‘em? Considering it's my job, I'd better say love!

11. Who is the hottest person alive (besides your significant other)? Ha-love the way you worded this! Lance Walker comes to mind, but he's not alive-RIP. I really don't watch that much tv/movies so since I'm a devoted Grey's Fan, I'll say McDreamy.

An Award!!!

...many thanks to Slam Dunk for the following awards! Slam is the only male reader of mine so the fact that he sticks with my blog despite my ramblings about bras, blisters and the girl doctor and sometimes uh...not so nice things to say about the opposite sex (i.e. my husband), I really appreciate his loyalty and comments.

This is the Happiness Award! To accept it, I must list 10 things that make me happy.
1. Hearing my niece's happy voice when she sees me and says, "Sissy!!!"
2. Hanging out with some of our favorite friends who keep us laughing for hours.
3. Cardinals baseball!!!
4. Having a good run, sweating a lot and not being out of breath!
5. Elvis Pretzely (I'm pretty sure this makes every happy list of mine!)
6. Emma laying her head on my shoulder when we're headed to bed.
7. Meeting up with girlfriends and both of us talking non-stop in fragments but totally understanding what the other is saying.
8. Fuze-peach mango-yum!
9. Comments!!!
10. Buying the perfect gift for someone and seeing their reaction when they open it (seems out of place in May but I have a picture from Christmas at my desk so that's what made me think of that one!).

I also got the Sugar Doll Award from him, yes someone out there in Blog Land thinks Slam Dunk is a Sugar Doll...wonder what his wife thinks of that, hmmm???

My Ten Facts...hmm...
1. I tore my ACL my senior year of high school. I went to prom in a knee brace and graduated on crutches.
2. I didn't get my first kiss until I was something like 17.
3. Although I am very type A, I am not a neat or clean freak-that's Matt.
4. I have worked in one field my whole life...since I was 16.
5. I wish I got to take more vacations but that little thing called money keeps me from it.
6. Hubs thinks I'm negative, I like to think of myself as a realist.
7. Because Em asked and I love it so much, an Elvis Pretzely is a scoop of vanilla custard with pretzels on top covered with caramel and hard shell chocolate-LOVE IT!!!
8. I love watching 48 Hours, Snapped, Law & Order, CSI...it worries hubs.
9. I used to be scared of dying but not so much any more.
10. Sometimes I question things...things I shouldn't...but I do.

Karate...CHOP!!!

...a big shout out and thank you to Amanda over at It's Blogworthy for the Master of Karate and Friendship Award!!! I never even told her about my mean karate chop but we're just on the same wavelength. Please hop over to her blog and check it out-this girl is hilarious!!!

The rules are simple, write SIX things that you are a master at and then give this award to SIX people who are the Master of Friendship. So here goes, SIX things I'm a master at:

1. I am the master of making room for my dogs. Seriously, I have to make room for them in bed every night, I let Emma sit beside me as I type this, I always leave them enough room in the car when we travel and the funny this is Emma is the smallest weighing in at 60 pounds!!!

2. I am the master of randomness. Probably 99.9% of my posts are tagged as random but come on, who doesn't love a good random story!

3. I am the master of harvesting crops. Yes, friends, I've admitted it but I am addicted to Farmville and I usually harvest crops daily.

4. I am the master of mood swings, ask my husband. I can be in the best mood in the world and then I notice the picture if off center and its like WATCH OUT WORLD!!!

5. I am the master of taking 10 minutes to tell a 10 second story.

6. I am the master of blowing things out of proportion (see #4) and ask my boss.

Now for the Masters of Friendship.

1. Although we don't comment too often on each other's blog, I have to nominate my girl Kristal who has been one of my best friends since 7th grade.

2. Adie who is helping me along my weight loss journey this time around. Her positive comments keep me on track every day.

3. Angie who I just met almost exactly a year ago but I feel like we're old friends. She always makes me feel so welcomed where ever we are.

4. Cece...what can I say? This girl and I relate, we just get each other!

5. Britni-while I started off as her boss four years ago, I would definately say we ended up as friends.

6. Amy-we've only commented back and forth but I feel like she's an awesome woman and friend.

So there you have it! FYI-I will be out of town for a conference today-Friday so I'll spend the weekend catching up on blogs after my stair climb Saturday AM-wish me luck!!!

I'm Walking on Sunshine...

...I received an award from Veronica at Everyday Kings so I feel like I'm walking on sunshine! I just started reading her blog but I love it and her layout is so flippin' cute! (You all know that I have layouts on my mind!) It is the Sunshine Award and here in Missouri, we could definately use a little sunshine.
