Surprise! We Got Carrots!!!
...after we'd given up on everything in the garden except the 'maters and 'penos, I come home from work Friday night to a bowl of carrots that Matt dug out of the garden!!! (and also to him telling me he got a speeding ticket on his way home from work). They aren't gigantic and they're pretty dirty but they are carrots home-grown in our backyard!!! I'm pretty excited. I cut some up to put in some pasta salad.

WOW! I'm jealous of your veggie growing abilities. I killed basil and that was about the end of it for my house!
Hooray for the carrots!!! I am really jealous of your maters.
Congrats on your surprise veggie find! I heart carrots cooked but not raw. I wish I liked them raw but alas I do not.
We are gonna have just about that many tomatoes soon, they're mostly green but every day more and more are turning red. Yum!
