Lewis & Clark Full Marathon...

...sorry so late with this post today. I was up at 4am yesterday with very little sleep and in bed by 8pm, I was one tired little girl!!! Here's what I posted on DM/FB and I'll have a full race report tomorrow with even more pics. I know you just all love pics of a big girl in running gear, right?

Well, people, I ran a freakin' full marathon. It took me 6 hours 57 minutes and like 36 seconds. What a crazy journey it was filled with laughter, pee pee dances, pain, tears, determination, more pain and awesome support and encouragement. The quote that got me through the day, "There may be days when you don't think you can run a marathon. Then there's a lifetime to know that you did it." Every time I was in pain, wanted to quit or had tears rolling down my face, I kept telling myself...lifetime, Alyssa, lifetime. Thanks for all the support from my fellow DMer especially SHERRIE!!! Angie and Matt B. and everyone else out there. More to come later!

Here is our self titled Team Extreme: Sherrie, Angie, and myself...it was really cold and that's why I'm crouched over, like that would make me warmer or something!

We'll save actual race pics for tomorrow but I love this one. This is Mattie hugging me as I cry when I finished the race. He was so good to me during the race-I love him!
Team Extreme at the finish line!!! Look those two don't even look tired!
My sister and Haley surprised me by meeting me on the course after the halfway point. H made a sign and didn't realize it until someone's hub pointed it out but read the sign closely and tell me what it looks like it says.
Booyah! I finished 26.2 miles!!! Woot! Woot!
Thanks for all the encouragement and support! A big shout out to Amy and her hubby, Aimee, Sarah T. Angie K., Jenny, Kim, Sarah Q and Angie D who came out to watch my big finish! I love you girls!!!

Congrats! That must have been overwhelming to finish and hear the cheers.

Thanks for inspiring us who have never tried to someday accomplish what you have done so well.

Just wanted to tell you again how awesome you are! I am SO impressed that you ran a full marathon. Also, thank you for being inspirational! I would have never thought about doing the half without you talking about the full. You are amazing, girl! :-)

Oh my gosh! I come back from two months of not blogging and reading and you just made me cry :) In a good way! This is fantastic! I am in the middle of training for my marathon right now and had such a bad 15 miler this saturday and I've been thinking about not doing it and reading this makes it all worth it, even the bad runs. And that pic of you and your hubby is fantastic! I'm so happy for you! Thanks for the encouragement!
