Two Years-Where Has the Time Gone???

...yesterday, Mattie and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary! Woohoo! Even though this year, our anniversary was on a week night, I think we enjoyed it more because we weren't rushed around on the weekend.

Around 3:30 yesterday, this was delivered to my work! (More of my crazy cubicle-ness on the wall!)
I love the purple in the bouquet! Around lunchtime yesterday, I called him and he'd asked if I'd gotten anything from him and told him no. Mattie said, "Oh whatever!" And I kept telling him no I'm serious! Then he finally said, "Well, I hope you work late today!" He knows I'm the keeper of the checkbooks so he has to wait until the day of to order flowers and apparently he had a doozie of a time ordering them! They are beautiful though and I really appreciate them.
Here's the card I got him along with some boxes of candies. Be sure to read the Red Hot box! He thinks I'm such a nerd sometimes but he still loves me!
We got out our wedding cake for the second year in a row. It was still pretty good, not quite as moist as it was on 10-11-08 but still yummy! I'd baked a back-up cake just in case which we also enjoyed.
We just kept it pretty low key staying at home and making a yummy, delicious dinner of steak, baked potatoes and macaroni-corn casserole. Year #2 was definitely an interesting year for us to say the lease but we survived! While I think year #3 is going to be even more interesting, I know that if we can survive what we've been through so far then we're good to go. I love you Pretty!

Side note: This weekend, I'm headed to Florida for Beth's wedding. It's a girls trip (Jess, Ash, Christina) plus Christina's hubby Matt. We're all leaving on Thursday and getting there LATE Thursday night. It should be an interesting trip because Ash's little guy Garet is the ringbearer in the wedding and its the longest car ride he's ever been on. I'm hoping G-man follows my lead and takes lots of long naps in the car although his mother's driving can be a bit scary at times!

I'm so excited for Beth! She's the last in our high school group to get married and she seems really happy. She's such a gorgeous woman so I'm really excited to see her as a bride. So while Mattie and I celebrate our two years of martial bliss, Beth and Casey will begin their lives together as a married couple this month too!
