Me, Matt and our Political Views...

...today is election day so don't forget to get out there and VOTE! I feel fairly confident on how I'm going to vote on a few candidates and propositions but others, I'm still clueless on, I'll be reading up on that before I hit the polls on the way home. Anyways, I had a local politician stop by my house the other day. I recognized her and remembered we had a mutual friend so we were chatting about that and then she asked me to vote and went on her merry way. Here's the convo I had with hubs that night about the situation:

Me (handing him the flier): OH! She stopped by the house today, like actually her, herself! I asked her if she knew Bill G. and we chatted for a bit. She's really nice and much prettier in person than her photo on all the campaign stuff.

Matt: Is she Republican or Democrat?

Me: I don't know...

Matt: Is she for or against abortion?

Me: I don't know...

Matt (sighs): Did you even ask her anything?

Me: Yes.

Matt: What?

Me: I asked her if she knew Bill G!

LOL! Matt was NOT happy with that answer but he did laugh. This just goes to show that husbands and wives don't always think the same way...as though we didn't already know that!?! Happy Election Day!

This would have been the same conversation I would have with someone at my door and than later on with the hubby! Too funny!

Haha, that's hilarious.

In the same respect, I am 60% leaning towards one candidate because he's adorable. Yes. I said that. (I also do agree with his policies & all that jazz, so it works.)

Hilarious! I would have done the same thing! Stephany - don't feel bad, I admit I've done that before :) It's kinda like cheering on a team based upon the color of their uniforms lol

Haha. You could have told the Mr. that any important question the candidate would have dodged anyway (thus showing the skills of a good politician).

Wow... I wish I could have voted. But, I was working. Its a big deal for me... but I've seen what back politicians can do up close and personal.

I hope you were able to get your vote in. Whether or not we share the same views... it's nice being able to have your own say in a vote.
